NFL Week 14 Sunday Funday Plays – Sports Betting

Lions vs Bears +3.5 O/U 43

Earlier in November, the Bears let one go against the Lions up 12 points with 4 minutes left in the game.   What some people are just not understanding is that the Bears are a much better team than they were in the beginning of the season.   Since Week 10, the Bears rank 22nd in offensive EPA to the Lions at 5th, and an amazing 3rd in defensive EPA while the Lions rank 27th.   Health is the key here.  Chicago was injured early in the season and now they are quietly the healthiest team in football.   The Lions are a big banged up themselves with their center Frank Ragnow out and their safety CJ Gardner-Johnson on IR.  A bigger hit to this team was big man run stopper Alim McNeill who hurt his knee and is now on IR.   The weather should be cold today in Chicago with 13 MPH winds.   I expect more out of the Bears here in this spot and they know that they let their last game get away.  Goff hasn’t been good in the Cold.  Find a 3.5 when it’s closer to game time or buy the hook for the W.

Teaser:  Ravens to -1.5 with the Broncos to +9 – 3 stars – I think the Ravens off the bye take care of business at home while the Chargers rarely blow out any team.

College Basketball Saturday Super Play – Sports Betting

BYU vs Utah +3.5 O/U 151.5

This should be a good in-state rivalry game to enjoy tonight to get your fix in without college football.   BYU’s defense has been spectacular this year, but they also haven’t played a true road game yet.   Both teams play at an incredible pace with BYU ranking 36th in average possession length on offense and BYU ranking 69th.   I could see some points scored here from BYU being that Utah only ranks 223rd in opponent effective FG%.   Heck, Southern Utah scored 86 points on this team on Tuesday.  I also see Utah putting up some points here as they rank 10th in offensive adjusted efficiency and 7th in effective FG% at an amazing 59%.   I like the over this game.   I think that the Utes will do what they do best running the court.   BYU will try and stop it but they are a little venerable down low only ranking 155th near proximity defense.   BYU shoots a lot of threes and Utah can’t stop that only ranking 188th in opponent three point efficiency.   Take the over.  This price is sitting pretty right now at the link below.

  • Torey Krug over 2.5 Shots on Goal (+110) – BetMGM
    • Krug has gone over this number in each of his last three games. During that span, he’s averaging 3.3 shots on goal and 6.3 shot attempts per game.
    • He’s been better on the road as of late, covering this number in seven of his last ten games.
    • Columbus currently ranks 29th in shots on goal allowed per game averaging 33.89. At home, that number jumps up to 34.67. They’ve also given up the 3rd most shots on goal per game to Defensemen this season.

NFL Week 14 Betting Spots

Let Down Spots:

  • The Packers could let down some at the Giants after beating the Chiefs.
  • The 49ers could be a little flat hosting the Seahawks after they beat the Eagles.

Get Up Spots:

  • The Browns better get up hosting the Jags if they want to be in the playoffs.
  • The Steelers better wake up hosting the Patriots if they want to make the playoffs.
  • The Saints are also in danger vs Carolina of missing their shot.
  • The Bills need to be big at the Chiefs this weekend to stay in playoff mode, but then again, the Chiefs want the top seed.
  • The Cowboys can get revenge vs the Eagles.

Look Ahead Spots:

  • The Jaguars looking past the Browns to the Ravens is possible.

NBA player props December 6th, 2023

Player props to target:

  • Darius Garland, CLE U 2.5 3’s (-150) Fanduel
    • Darius has came close to the over multiple timnes, but has only done so twice in his last 10 games.
    • in his two meetings with ORL last season he went under both times.
    • In 22/23, Garland went over only 34% of the time.
  • Derrick Rose, MEM U 4.5 assists (-115) Draftkings
    • In Rose’s last 10 games he has gone under. Averaging right around 3.
    • In his last 20 games, his average drops from 3 assists, to just 2.
    • In both matchups against Detroit last season, D Rose had only 2 assists in each of those games.
  • Bismack Biyombo, MEM U 6.5 Ass (+105) Betmgm
    • Although he has came close, Bismack has not gone over this number since 11/18.
    • In his only matchup, he managed to grab 5 rebounds.
    • Bismack is averaging just 5 rebounds in his last 5 outings.

College Football Week 14 Misleading Final Scores

Toledo out-gained Miami Ohio 370 to 306 yet lost 23-14.  A 2-0 turnover ratio and poor red zone hurt the Rockets.

NFL Week 13 Misleading Final Scores

The Steelers out-gained the Cardinals 317 to 282 yet lost 24-10.   A 1-0 turnover ratio, injuries, bad special teams, 9 penalties and bad red zone efficiency on defense got the Steelers.

The Jets out-gained the Falcons 259 to 194 yet lost 13-8.  A 3-0 turnover ratio and horrible quarterback play got the Jets.

The Patriots out-gained the Chargers 257 to 241 yet lost 6-0.  A 1-0 turnover ratio, poor coaching, and bad quarterback play got the Pats.
