Rob Vinciletti: Tuesday MLB Power System Play
UEFA Champions League September 28th Free Picks

*UCL: Borussia Dortmund Win & Over 1.5 Goals (-134) vs. Sporting Lisbon
The main thought behind this pick is simply that Dortmund are just the much better team who score lots of goals. Simple. After winning four Bundesliga games on the bounce, they lost a tough match against Monchengladbach on Saturday and will be keen to get back to winning ways. The game will be played at home for Dortmund who have yet to lose a single home game in the Bundesliga this season. Not only that, Dortmund have scored 17 goals in six games in the league which is second most, only trailing Bayern Munich. When looking at Sporting Lisbon, they have lost seven out of their last eight away games in the Champions League group stages, and also lost 12 in their last 13 previous matches away to German competition. They are very inexperienced on the Champions League stage and are playing a Dortmund side who succeed in this competition every season. Sporting were defeated 5-1 by Ajax earlier this month in the first group game where they looked very vulnerable defensively. They now play a Dortmund side who have riches of attacking talent that is seen as superior to Ajax’s, who smashed 5 goals past them. *Take Dortmund and Over 1.5 goals.
*Another quality pick would be to take Dortmund to win & BTTS (+230) Sporting have some decent attacking players to play through. They are good on the ball and can certainly score goals. Dortmund have allowed 12 goals in six Bundesliga games this season and allowed a weaker Besiktas side to score against them in the first group game. Still expect dortmund to win this game, but don’t be surprised if Sporting sneak a goal in somewhere along the way.
*UCL: Liverpool to Win vs. FC Porto (-125)
Liverpool head into this game in top form. They have scored three goals in each of their last five games and look very solid on both ends of the pitch. After a disappointing 3-3 draw against Brentford this weekend, another bounce back game is in order, it’s rare to see a team of Liverpool’s stature drop points and concede goals two games in a row. In a group dabbed as the “group of death” every single game is a must-win. No better time for the reds to get that win than against Porto, a side that has conceded more goals (11) in the Champions League against Klopp’s Liverpool than any other team. Not to mention, Liverpool have won four of their last five Champions League group stage matches away from home. In the group of death that consists of AC Milan and Atletico Madrid, this may be seen as the easiest game for Liverpool in the group this season, so expect them to pick up all three points. *Take Liverpool to win.
*PICKS:
- Dortmund to Win & Over 1.5 Goals (-134)
- Liverpool to WIN (-125)
- Additional pick: Dortmund to Win & BTTS (+230)

*NFL(1u): Cowboys -3(-120) vs Eagles–7:15 PM CT
The Cowboys enter their first home game of the season fresh off a road win against a very good Chargers team. Through 2 games, Dak Prescott looks like he hasn’t missed a beat; he’s completed 76.5% of his passes against TB and LAC. The run game improved mightily from Week 1 to Week 2, which is necessary to balance out their dangerous passing attack. Dallas will present a tougher test than Atlanta and San Fran did to this Eagles defense, and quite frankly, I’m not very high on this Eagles team. If you take away a single 91 yard completion to Quez Watkins last week, Jalen Hurts was just 11/22 with 99 yards against the 49ers defense. While the Cowboys’ defense still has its questions, they’ve been able to neutralize the run through 2 games. Tonight, I expect them to key in on Myles Sanders and make Jalen Hurts beat them with his arm and mind. Perhaps Hurts finds his rhythm throughout the season, but I have no trust that he can go back-and-forth with an efficient and proven QB like Dak Prescott. It’s also worth noting that this is Jalen Hurts’ first career road start with a full stadium. I think this line should be closer to 5 or 5.5, so I see quite a bit of value in laying the field goal with the home team here on Monday night.
Rob Vinciletti: A.L. West Late night BANGER + MNF Game of the Month info
Monday night Football Play of the Month headlines along with a 5* MLB Diamond cutter System. Comp play below.
The MLB Comp play for Monday is on Oakland at 10:10 eastern. Oakland has lost 9 straight to Seattle and after getting swept at home by the Mainers look for an Oakland team looking to serve up some revenge. In fact Irvin for Oakland lost just a few days ago to Flexen and the Mariners. Oakland fits a nice September specific system. Look for the A/S to take the opener. *NFL(1u): Bears/Browns UNDER 44.5(-110)–12 PM CT
Justin Fields will make his first career start today on the road against a legitimate playoff team in the Browns. On principle alone, I like to fade rookie QB’s making their first career road start, and it’s easier to do so when their offense has proven to be stagnant under a veteran QB. It would be a miracle in my mind for the Bears to reach the 20 point mark, and given the Browns athleticism on the defensive side of the ball, I think they can hold Chicago closer to 10. However, the Bears defense matches up well with Cleveland’s running attack and should be up for the challenge today. Baker Mayfield is less than 100% with a shoulder issue, and WR Jarvis Landry has already been ruled out. The priority in Cleveland right now is the get those guys healthy for the rest of the season, not to run up the score against a lowly Bears team. I expect a pretty vanilla game plan from the Browns, which should play right into the Bears’ hands. This game has Under written all over it.
*2 Team Teaser(1u): Bills -1 vs Washington FT, Dolphins/Raiders UNDER 51(-110)–12 PM CT
The Bills got right in Miami last week in an absolute thumping of the Dolphins. For as much hype as the WFT defense got entering the season, they sure haven’t looked very good against the pass, which sets up horribly against Buffalo’s pass-first offense. I can’t trust the WFT offense to go punch-for-punch with Josh Allen. The Bills very well could blow out Washington today, but I feel more confident in teasing them down to -1. The Dolphins will be led by Jacoby Brisset today; while I expect a better performance than he showed last week after coming off the bench, Miami can only go so far with him at the helm. While their offense is suspect right now, I still have faith in the Dolphins defense. Derek Carr isn’t 100%, and the Raiders aren’t dynamic enough offensively to make me worry about how the Dolphins will matchup. I’ll tease the total up and take the under.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams – Sunday, September 26th – 4:25 ET Kickoff
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to the west coast to take on the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Sunday. The Bucs are coming off a shellacking of the Falcons 48-25 while the Rams enter the contest after squeaking out a 27-24 win against the Colts. Over the first 2 games, Tampa Bay has been averaging 386 yards per game, 6.4 yards per play and 39.5 points per game while the Rams offense has been very similar producing 378 yards per game, 7 yards per play and 30.5 points per game. The Rams have only given up 19 points per game on defense but that was up against mediocre offenses (Chicago and Indianapolis) that average 4.8 yards per play and 18.5 points per game collectively. Enter the Brady bunch….this could be a rude awakening for the LA defense. Neither of these teams have run the ball effectively ranking 25th and 30th in the league but rank 5th and 7th in the NFL in passing yards per game. I mention that because both defenses have given up more passing yards than the opposing offenses have been averaging with TB allowing 342 YPG against offenses averaging 260 YPG and the Rams have given up 216 YPG against their opposition averaging 185 yards through the air per game. The Bucs also have an excellent rush defense, so I am anticipating this to be a back-and-forth game with most of the yardage gained being through the air. The over is 21-8 in the last 29 Buccaneers games versus conference opponents and the over is also 9-2 in the Rams last 11 games as an underdog. I expect this game to be in the 30s which will take us over the total comfortably.

*NFL(1.5u): Steelers -2.5(-120) vs Bengals–12 PM CT
The Steelers have had an odd start to the season. They opened with an outright win against the Bills only to return home last week and lose outright to the Raiders. The easy person to blame is Big Ben, but I still have hope that he’s capable of leading this team towards another playoff appearance. This sets up as a perfect bounce back spot for the Steelers, and they get the perfect “get right” opponent in Cincinnati. For as good as Joe Burrow is, this team has glaring issues across the board, but most notably at OL. The Steelers front four should be able to win that battle all day and put their offense in advantageous positions. This line is giving the Bengals far too much credit; I still believe they have a ways to go. I’ll lay the short number with Pittsburgh.
