College Basketball Hump Day Play – George Washington vs St Joseph’s

George Washington vs St Joseph’s +1.5 O/U 155

📊 Basic Game Info

  • Matchup: George Washington Revolutionaries vs. Saint Joseph’s Hawks
  • Date: February 4, 2026
  • Location: Philadelphia, PA
  • Records:
    • GW: 13–9 (4–5 A‑10)
    • Saint Joseph’s: 14–8 (6–3 A‑10)

🔢 Season Leaders

Team Player PPG FG% FT% RPG
GW R. Castro (#30) 15.9 63.9 66.2 9.0
GW J. Glover‑Toscano (#11) 15.6 41.1 76.4
Saint Joseph’s D. Haskins (#7) 6.4

📈 Additional Context

  • ESPN’s matchup predictor gives GW a 64% chance to win.
  • Saint Joseph’s enters with stronger conference form (6–3 A‑10).

Here are the confirmed injury updates for both teams heading into George Washington vs. Saint Joseph’s, pulled directly from the latest February 2026 reports.

🏥 George Washington Injury Report

  • Trey Moss (G)OUT, undisclosed injury, no timetable for return.
  • Rafael Castro (F)QUESTIONABLE, undisclosed injury, game‑time decision vs. Saint Joseph’s.

🏥 Saint Joseph’s Injury Report

  • Owen Verna (G)OUT, hip injury, no timetable for return.
  • Steven Solano (C)QUESTIONABLE, undisclosed injury, uncertain to play.

📈 Recent Performance Notes

  • Saint Joseph’s: Haskins scored 20 points in their 67–58 win over La Salle.
  • George Washington: Shot 6-of-23 from three and allowed 48.4% FG in their 79–65 loss to Fordham.

📊 Additional Team Stats (From Game Logs & Previews)

George Washington

  • Allowed 48.4% FG vs. Fordham.
  • Recorded 15 assists in that game.
  • Gave up 40 rebounds (13 offensive).

Prediction:

  • This should be a good matchup.   George Washington has been a bit of a strange team with a strange ranking.   I scratch my head seeing them ranked number 78th on Kenpom when their best win was way back on November 8th against 67th Kenpom ranking South Florida.
  • This Chris Caputo team went caputo in the A 10 losing four of their last five games.
  • St Joseph’s on the other hand has impressed me winning six of their last 7 games against teams like Dayton.
  • The only advantage that the Revs have is a solid mid-range game.   The Hawks should be able to score inside ranking 112th in near proximity shot making to the Revs only ranking 227th in defending it.
  • Another HUGE isssue for GW, is that their best player in Center Rafael Castro missed the last game due to a foot injury. He is day to day, but if he doesn’t play, this line currently becomes a free roll.   Castro is their leading scorer.  I am gonna take my chances with the Hawks at home.

Play:  St Joseph’s +114 – 2 stars

College Basketball Saturday Super Plays – Indiana vs UCLA – Arizona vs Arizona State – Sports Betting

Indiana vs UCLA -3.5 O/U 142.5

Matchup Overview

  • Date & Time: Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 — 5 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. MST
  • Location: Pauley Pavilion, Los Angeles
  • Broadcast: Peacock
  • Betting Line: UCLA favored by 3.5 points; total around 142.5

Team Form & Momentum

Indiana Hoosiers (14–7, 5–5 Big Ten)

  • Coming off a signature win over No. 12 Purdue (72–67), boosting their NCAA Tournament résumé.
  • Have won two straight, including a strong road win at Rutgers.
  • Key Players:
    • Lamar Wilkerson: 19.4 PPG, 39.7% from three — team’s top scorer.
    • Tucker DeVries: 14.3 PPG, 5.2 RPG.
    • Nick Dorn: Emerging contributor, averaging 18.3 PPG over his last three.

UCLA Bruins (15–6, 7–3 Big Ten)

  • Winners of five of their last six and undefeated at home (12–0).
  • Playing well despite losing guard Skyy Clark to a hamstring injury.
  • Key Players:
    • Tyler Bilodeau: 18.2 PPG, 44.7% from three, 5.4 RPG — centerpiece of the offense.
    • Trent Perry: 16.2 PPG since Clark’s injury.
    • Donovan Dent: 13.1 PPG.

What to Watch For

1. Indiana’s Road Test

Pauley Pavilion has been a fortress for UCLA, and Indiana’s inconsistency away from home makes this a major challenge. Their ability to replicate the defensive intensity shown vs. Purdue will be crucial.

2. Battle of Emerging Scorers

Nick Dorn (IU) and Trent Perry (UCLA) have both stepped up due to teammate injuries. Whichever young guard maintains his hot streak could swing the game.

3. Three‑Point Shooting

Both teams rely heavily on perimeter scoring. UCLA’s Bilodeau vs. Indiana’s Wilkerson creates a compelling duel of elite shooters.

4. Tournament Stakes

Indiana sits on the bubble and needs another Quad 1 win. UCLA, meanwhile, is strengthening its case and protecting a top‑tier Big Ten position.

📊 Core Game Data

  • Matchup: Indiana Hoosiers (14–7, 5–5 Big Ten) at UCLA Bruins (15–6, 7–3 Big Ten)
  • Date & Time: Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 — 5 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. MST
  • Location: Pauley Pavilion, Los Angeles
  • TV/Stream: Peacock
  • Betting Line: UCLA –3.5, Total 142.5 (Implied score: UCLA 73, Indiana 70)
  • Win Probability: UCLA 64%

🔥 Team Momentum & Recent Form

Indiana Hoosiers

  • Coming off a 72–67 win over No. 12 Purdue on Jan. 28.
  • Have won two straight entering this matchup.
  • Key Players:
    • Lamar Wilkerson: 19.4 PPG, 39.7% from three.
    • Tucker DeVries: 14.3 PPG, 5.2 RPG.
    • Nick Dorn: Averaging 18.3 PPG over last three games.

UCLA Bruins

  • Have won five of their last six and three straight entering the game.
  • Key Players:
    • Tyler Bilodeau: 18.2 PPG, 44.7% from three, 5.4 RPG.
    • Trent Perry: 16.2 PPG since Skyy Clark’s injury.
    • Donovan Dent: 13.1 PPG.

📈 Statistical Comparison Table

Category Indiana UCLA
Overall Record 14–7 15–6
Big Ten Record 5–5 7–3
Recent Form W2 (incl. Purdue upset) W3, 5 of last 6
Leading Scorer Wilkerson (19.4) Bilodeau (18.2)
Emerging Player Dorn (18.3 last 3) Perry (16.2 since Jan 3)

Prediction:

  • This is a spot game for me.  The big 10 isn’t all that good usually when they cross two time zones.  Indiana is coming off of a huge win against Purdue where they shot lights out at 65% from two…
  • UCLA had also had their way with Purdue at home winning outright.
  • Indiana is a team that struggles on the road ranking only 344th in home road splits on Haslametrics.  They shoot 59% effective FG% at home and only 52% on the road.
  • UCLA is much better at home shooting 57% effective FG%.
  • I like the Bruins here to play some defense and win by margin.  I would lay up to -4.5, but I also like the under some as well.

UCLA -3.5 – 2 stars

Arizona vs Arizona State +15 O/U 162

  • I am very excited for this game because you are getting a massive home dog in a a big rivalry spot.
  • Is Arizona the best and most complete team in basketball?  Yes they are, but they did so some chinks in the armour last week when letting BYU back into the game.
  • Nobody knows Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd more than Bobbie Hurley as they have played each other many times over the years.
  • U of A has owned this matchup winning 9 of the last 10 games straight up, but ASU did cover the spread in their last two matchups.
  • When these teams faced off on January 14th, Arizona State kept it close in Tucson only lowing by seven points.
  • The Sun Devils as bad as they are at 11-10 do have some big wins against Cincinnati, Texas and Santa Clara.  They also covered at home against Gonzaga.
  • There are too many points here in a rivalry game.  Take the home dog and sprinkle the money line.

Arizona State +15 – 2 stars

College Basketball Friday Freebie – Boise State vs Grand Canyon – Sports Betting

Boise State vs Grand Canyon -1.5 O/U 140.5

Matchup Overview

  • Boise State (13‑8, 5‑5 MWC)

    • Recently surged back to .500 in conference play after four straight wins.

    • Coming off a dominant 89–58 win over San Jose State.

    • Ranked No. 54 in KenPom, with a strong defensive profile (No. 46).

    • Averages 8.1 made threes per game, which could be a key factor.

  • Grand Canyon (13‑7, 6‑3 MWC)

    • Riding a three‑game home win streak and an impressive 9‑2 home record.

    • Ranked No. 75 in KenPom and won the first meeting 75–58 in Boise.

    • Scores 74.0 PPG while shooting 43.6% from the field.

Key Storylines

🔥 Boise State’s Momentum vs. GCU’s Home Court

Boise State has clawed back from a rough start to conference play, but GCU’s arena is one of the loudest and most difficult environments in college basketball. Head coach Leon Rice emphasized the challenge of playing in such an atmosphere.

🔁 Revenge Factor

Grand Canyon won the first matchup convincingly. Boise State’s improved form and defensive efficiency suggest a more competitive rematch.

📊 Statistical Edges

  • Boise State: Better three‑point production and stronger defensive metrics.

  • Grand Canyon: Better home performance and slightly more efficient scoring.

Prediction:

  • Is this a road revenge spot for Boise State?  Maybe, but this team won four in a row against a bunch of tomato cans in Wyoming, Colorado State, Air Force, and San Jose State.  They lost four in a row right before this to teams like UNLV and of course by double digits to Grand Canyon at home.
  • The Problem with Boise is that they are inconsistent with a consistency rating of 319th on Haslametrics.
  • Neither teams does anything spectacular, but both teams do play better defense than they do offense.  Both teams play at a slower pace.
  • Last game at Nevada, the Lopes were without two starting guards in Caleb Shaw and and Brian Moore.  I think that there are a number of ways that this game stays under the total.

Under 140.5 – 2 stars

🧩 Style & Matchup Dynamics

Nebraska Strengths

  • Elite defense (65.0 PPG allowed).

  • Extremely low turnovers (8.6 per game).

  • Road‑tested: 5–0 away from home.

Michigan Strengths

  • One of the most efficient offenses in the country (91.7 PPG).

  • Strong home‑court advantage (9–1 at Crisler).

  • Superior rebounding margin.

Key Swing Factors

  • Tempo: Michigan wants a high‑efficiency, high‑scoring game; Nebraska thrives in defensive disruption.

  • Turnovers: Nebraska’s ball security vs. Michigan’s occasional sloppiness.

  • Rebounding: Michigan’s size and glass dominance could tilt the game.

📌 Summary Takeaway

Michigan enters with the stronger statistical profile — especially offensively and on the boards — but Nebraska’s defense, turnover advantage, and undefeated momentum make this a far more even matchup than the spread suggests.

If you want, I can also generate:

  • A position‑by‑position breakdown

  • A model‑based score prediction

  • A keys‑to‑victory analysis for each team

Prediction:

  • This is a matchup that we all have been waiting for.  Nebraska is undefeated.   They have had some big wins at Illinois and at home against Wisconsin, but tonight will be the true test.
  • I love this Michigan basketball team and all, but we have recently seen some chinks in their armor when they only beat Washington and Oregon by 10 or less, and struggled with Penn State & Wisconsin at home.
  • Nebraska is undefeated with big wins at Illinois and home against Michigan State and Wisconsin.   They do everything well except get to the free throw line.  This doesn’t worry me as much being a dog.
  • If Michigan has any weakness, it’s defending the three only ranking 61st in adjusted opponent three point percentage on Haslametrics as you see here:
  •  and 38th on Kenpom.  They also are very mediocre at shooting free throws.
  • I think that Nebraska fights hard to stay undefeated tonight.  Maybe they do not win, but I think that they can cover a massive number.

Nebraska +11.5 – 2 stars

College Basketball Tuesday Free Play – Sutured Spartans Still Sinking

Welcome back to all our loyal TheOddsbreakers.com readers. Hope everyone was able to cash in our free plays last week as we hit on every single one of them.

Last week was my top College basketball week ever from a units perspective. We went 33-16 +26.93 Units from Sunday through Saturday and we continue to crush College Basketball with a high volume of plays. 100-62-1 is the record since Mid-December showing +58.19 Units of profit. All my plays are typically between 1-3 Units. Hope you’ve been tailing along.

Today we look to San Jose, CA where San Jose St. will host Boise St. at Provident Credit Union Event Center at 9:00 CT. The Line is currently at Boise St. -10.5 with a total landing at 140.

San Jose St. enters the game at 6-14 Overall and 1-8 in Mountain West play with their only conference win coming against winless conference doormat Air Force. This team has been really struggling recently especially on the defensive side of the ball. They’ve also been ravaged by injuries with four key contributors in the rotation missing time in January. Offensively they are one of the slowest and most methodical teams in the country playing at 337th in adjusted tempo and 345th in average possession length in the country. For going as slow as they do they also have a very high Non-Steal turnover rate at 8.1%. As mentioned defensively they give up way too many open looks with opponents connecting on 58.1% of 2-point attempts (344th) and 36.8% of 3-point attempts (320th). Average 2-point attempt distance is only 4.7 Feet which is 3rd worst in all of college basketball.

Boise St. sits at 12-8 overall and is 4-5 in Mountain West play. All five of their conference losses are to teams ahead of them in the Mountain West Standings. The Broncos have been about as average as they come, but have played better over the last two weeks going 3-1 with the only loss an OT set back on the road at UNLV. Boise St.’s strengths on offense has been in getting to the foul line where they rank 39th in the country and then are hitting 76.5% of their attempts once at the stripe. They play a little faster than San Jose St. at 235th in adjusted tempo and 211th in the country at average possession length. Defensively they are a middle of the road team in defensive effective FG%.

So where does the handicap land tonight? It’s really hard to ignore the injuries San Jose St. has had and while they are getting healthier the continuity just isn’t there. Colby Garland returned last time out and scored 10 points and had 7 assists. Jermaine Washington has been back for the last two games and is averaging 14 points per contest in his return. Still out for certain tonight is Ben Rosebourough who is averaging 12 points per game. Questionable to return tonight is Yaphet Moundi who averages 12.5 PPG. Even if they get Moundi back tonight this will be the best defense they’ve played since Grand Canyon on January 10th and they only managed 62 at Wyoming last time out even with Garland in the lineup.

Also stacked against the Spartans is the style on defense for Boise St. They do a really good job of limiting assists ranking 30th in the country at assists to field goal ratio allowed. San Jose St. relies heavily on getting guys open via the pass with a 58.9 ratio of Assists to Field Goals. Boise will make them create off the dribble and even with Garland back that does not bode well for the Spartans. The final nail in the coffin for me in fading San Jose St. scoring is Boise just doesn’t allow second chance points. They are 4th in the country in offensive rebound percentage allowed. Boise is fine playing slow and they do it much better than San Jose St. They’ll dominate the half court tonight.

San Jose St. Team Total Under 65 -115, 1.5 Units
