🚑 Injury Report

  • UCLA: Skyy Clark (13.5 PPG, 48.6% 3PT) — hamstring, doubtful
  • Ohio State: Christoph Tilly — left last game after head injury, status uncertain

📊 Team Statistical Profile

UCLA Bruins

  • Record: 12–5 (4–2 Big Ten)
  • Key injury: Skyy Clark (13.5 PPG, 48.6% from three) doubtful with hamstring injury
  • Recent performance: 2–1 without Clark; Trent Perry scored 30 vs. Penn State
  • ATS record: 7–10

Prediction:

  • Heading to the Big 10, this game will mean something as both teams trying to get solid wins for the NCAA tournament.
  • Ohio State has been a hit or miss team.   They are only 6-10 ATS, and they haven’t had any big wins yet.   One thing they do is play more defense than last year ranking 60th in efficiency.  They play at a mid-pace ranking 196th.
  • UCLA is a team that is defensive oriented.   Since their loss to WIsconsin, they stuffed Maryland to only 55 points and held Penn State to 60.
  • The Bruins rank a slow 286th in pace and it would be slower if they had a harder non-conference schedule.
  • I see a lot of ways that the under hits this game.  Ohio State could win with margin while UCLA continues to struggle at scoring on the road.  The Bruins shoot 48.7% effective FG efficiency away from home.

Under 148.5 – 2.5 stars

Iowa vs Indiana -2.5 O/U 143.5

  • This is an interesting game as both of these teams are coming off of multiple losses, and both coaches recently game from Drake.
  •  I kind of feel for Iowa as they just went though a gauntlet of Illinois and Purdue back to back.
  • Indiana may be the bees knees in football, but I am just not buying their basketball team as their best win was at home against Washington.   They lost every top 50 game by multiple scores, and now they have to play a team that will play quite slow.
  • Indiana doesn’t play good offense against any teams that can play a lick of D.  I like Iowa to cover some, but I like the under more.

College Basketball Friday Freebie – Toledo vs Kent State – Sports Betting

Toledo vs Kent State -4.5 O/U 171

🏀 Game Snapshot

  • Toledo Rockets (10–7, 4–1 MAC)
  • Kent State Golden Flashes (13–4, 4–1 MAC)
  • Location: Kent, Ohio
  • Tipoff: Friday, 6:30 p.m. EST
  • Broadcast: CBSSN

🔍 What Each Team Brings

Kent State: Home‑court strength + elite rebounding

  • The Golden Flashes are 9–1 at home, and that edge matters in the MAC.
  • They’re second in the conference in defensive rebounds (25.4 per game), anchored by Delrecco Gillespie, who’s averaging 19.3 points and shooting 57% from the field.
  • Kent State scores 90.4 points per game, a massive number that puts pressure on opponents to keep up.

Toledo: Efficient offense + momentum

  • Toledo enters after dropping 101 points on Ohio, led by Sonny Wilson’s 25‑point performance.
  • They shoot 47.7% from the field, notably higher than what Kent State typically allows (43.9%).
  • The Rockets average 82.7 points per game, so they’re built for a shootout.

⚔️ Key Matchups to Watch

1. Toledo’s shooting vs. Kent State’s defense

If Toledo maintains its high shooting percentage, this becomes a track meet. Kent State’s defensive rebounding will be critical to limiting second‑chance points.

2. Gillespie vs. Toledo’s interior defense

Gillespie is the most efficient scorer in the matchup. If Toledo can’t slow him down, Kent State controls the pace.

3. Tempo battle

Kent State wants to push the scoring into the 90s. Toledo can play fast too, but they’re at their best when they’re efficient, not frantic.

📊 Toledo vs. Kent State: Key Stats Snapshot

🟡 Team Performance Metrics

Toledo Rockets

  • Record: 10–7 overall, 6–3 away
  • Scoring: 82.7 points per game (from earlier preview context)
  • ATS: 6–9
  • Recent H2H: Lost 105–65 in last meeting at Kent (Feb 25, 2025)

Kent State Golden Flashes

  • Record: 13–4 overall, 9–1 at home
  • Scoring: 90.4 points per game (from earlier preview context)
  • ATS: 7–8
  • Recent H2H: Won last two matchups by 20+ points

🏀 Head‑to‑Head Trends

Across the last 10 meetings:

  • Kent State leads 7–3 straight up
  • Kent State is 8–2 ATS in those games
  • Totals have gone Under in 6 of 10

📊 Toledo vs. Kent State — Team Stats Comparison

Stat Category Toledo Rockets Kent State Golden Flashes
Record 10–7 13–4
Points Per Game 82.7 90.4
Points Allowed 77.8 81.8
Rebounds Per Game 31.6 35.9
Assists Per Game 16.4 18.4
Turnovers Per Game 10.2 13.9
Leading Scorer Sonny Wilson — 17.6 PPG Delrecco Gillespie — 19.3 PPG
Leading Rebounder Sean Craig — 8.3 RPG Delrecco Gillespie — 12.6 RPG
Top Playmaker Sonny Wilson — 4.4 APG Cian Medley — 6.9 APG

Prediction:

  • This will be an underrated Mac game for Friday night after work buzz.
  • Kent State is one of the Mac’s to programs.  This team is offensive focused ranking 72nd in effective FG% as well as a lighting pace ranking 19th in Tempo on Kenpom.   They ran through the non-conference with only three losses with two close games.
  • Toledo is a very similar team who has an offense and defense that ranks almost identical in efficiency as Kent State even though the Golden Flash is the much better shooting team ranking 72nd in effective FG% to the Rockets ranking 143.
  • The Issue with Kent State is that they turn over the ball a bit more with that lightting pace.
  • The reason I want to lay the points it that Kent State has dominated this team with 20+ point wins last season.  They have also owned this matchup covering 8 out of the last 10.
  • The big thing for me is that Kent State can rebound the ball ranking 73rd in rebounding percentage to Toledo ranking 236.   I will easily lay the points here.

🔮 Wisconsin vs. Minnesota — Prediction

  • This is always a great rivalry in college sports.
  • The Badgers haven’t been a great team this season until last weekend when they upset number 1 (kenpom) Michigan in a shoot out in Ann Arbor.
  • There is no way that I can bet on the Badgers after a performance like that as they are in let down City.
  • The Gophers may licking their chops in looking for an upset, but it’s not like they have been that great coming off of a rough home loss to USC in overtime.
  • One thing that I can count on is the gophers to slow down the pace.  This team ranks 358th on Kenpom in average possession length.
  • I expect the Badgers to be a bit cold coming off of the big win against Michigan.   I am gonna look toward the under in this game as there are many ways that it could hit.

Basic Stats:

Key Stats:   It is clear that Ole Miss has a glaring weakness, and that is their opponent rushing success rate ranking 104th.  We saw Georgia run up and down the field on them, yet got away from the run in a losing effort.   The big thing for me in this handicap is that Ole Miss has the biggest wildcard in the playoffs in quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.   He singlehandedly won the Sugar Bowl game for the Rebs, and I cannot discount that.  I also wonder if there is a real coaching advantage for the Cane’s as Mario Cristobal has blown some big games in the past.   Rebels coach Pete Golding has his kids motivated.  In theory, Miami should just run the ball, and run some more, but we did see the Rebels slow Georgia’s run game down some in the second half.  I think that the back door could be wide open for a motivated Ole Miss team, and there is a chance that they are the ones with the lead towards the end, but Miami and Carson Beck do have the rushing attack and the experience at quarterback to finish out the game.   I lean a little Miami ML and lean the points to take for Ole Miss.

Net Yards Per Play:  Oregon +.15

Basic Stats:

Key Stats:  This really should be the championship game as these are the best two teams left in the playoffs.   The best unit on the field just might be Indiana’s defense ranking 5th in success rate and 7th in EPA.   Oregon’s defense is the weakness, but I do give their offense a slight edge over Indiana’s offense mainly due to their creativity.  My biggest question is how can we really credit Indiana for blowing out a very overrated Alabama team?  This gives us value on the line.  My number on this game is Indiana -3.  I think that they probably win this game, but four points is too much and worth a bet on the Ducks.  Can’t wait for this game!

NFL Week 18 Sunday Fun-day Play – Browns vs Bengals – Sports Betting

Browns vs Bengals -7.5 O/U 46.5

🏈 Browns vs. Bengals: Week 18 Game Preview

Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026 – Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati Sources:

🔥 Big Picture

Neither team is headed to the postseason, but the game is far from meaningless.

  • Cincinnati (6–10) is trying to close the year on a three‑game winning streak behind a suddenly explosive offense.
  • Cleveland (4–12) is playing for pride—and possibly for jobs. Reports suggest the outcome could influence the futures of head coach Kevin Stefanski and GM Andrew Berry.

🎯 Key Storylines

1. Joe Burrow’s late‑season surge

Burrow has thrown for 300+ yards in back‑to‑back blowout wins, looking the best he has all year behind what analysts call the strongest offensive line of his Bengals tenure.

  • Last week: 24/31, 305 yards, 2 TDs
  • Cincinnati’s offense is humming, and Ja’Marr Chase continues to stack historic numbers in his fifth season.

2. Myles Garrett chasing NFL history

Garrett enters the game with 22 sacks, needing one to break the single‑season record held by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt.

  • He has sacked Burrow 11 times, tied for the most of any QB he’s faced.
  • Expect this matchup to be a focal point of the broadcast.

3. Browns’ offense: steady but limited

Cleveland has shown improvement with rookie QB Shedeur Sanders, who helped them grind out a 13–6 win over Pittsburgh last week. But the offense remains inconsistent, and that’s a major reason oddsmakers expect a low‑scoring game.

    Series All‑Time 56 wins 48 wins

This is actually a very underrated betting game as both teams have some interesting aspects.

Prediction:

  • First of all, it is looking like Browns coach Kevin Stefanski is toast whether he wins or loses.  I expect him fired on black monday.
  • Next, the Browns are in a pretty big let down spot as they may have spoiled the Steeler’s chances of making the playoffs.
  • Third, the Bengals are playing some great football right now and it looks like they will want to prove that they would be the top team in the AFC if it wasn’t for the injury to Joe Burrow.
  • Over the last five weeks, the Bengals are number 9 in offensive EPA and number 11th in defensive EPA.  The Browns are number 31 and 8th respectively.
  • Take Who dey today.
