Prediction:

  • I honestly do not understand this line.  How many points are we really giving the Joe Burrow from Joe Flacco upgrade.
  • The Bills are still a serious contender and top three in most power ratings.   They rank 4th in offensive EPA to the Bengals ranking 25th.
  • The Bills defense, while not great still ranks 14th in EPA to the Bengals at dead last.
  • Both team’s can run the ball well, and both teams are weak against the run in defense, but during a snow storm, I do not think that the Bills will respect the pass all that much.
  • The Bengals won’t be able to throw the ball and that is where they can get smoked here.  Lay it with the Bills.

College Football Conference Championship Free Plays – Georgia vs Alabama – Duke vs Virginia

Georgia vs Alabama +1.5 O/U 47.5

🏈 Game Details

  • Matchup: Georgia Bulldogs (11–1, No. 4) vs. Alabama Crimson Tide (10–2, No. 10)
  • Date/Time: Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 4 p.m. ET
  • Location: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta
  • Broadcast: ABC / ESPN app
  • Betting Line: Georgia favored by 1.5–2.5 points; Over/Under ~48.5

🔥 Storylines

  • Historic Rivalry: Alabama leads the series in SEC title games, winning all four previous championship meetings against Georgia. Overall, the Tide are 7–1 against the Bulldogs since 2018.
  • Playoff Stakes: Both teams are likely bound for the College Football Playoff, but the winner secures a first-round bye in the new 12-team format. Alabama, currently ranked No. 10, needs the win to lock in its automatic bid; Georgia, ranked No. 3, can clinch a top-four spot with a victory.
  • Coaching Angle: This is Alabama’s first SEC Championship appearance under Kalen DeBoer, who replaced Nick Saban. Georgia’s Kirby Smart is seeking his sixth SEC title.

📊 Team Breakdown

Georgia Bulldogs

  • Strengths: Balanced offense led by QB Gunner Stockton, strong defensive front.
  • Weaknesses: Struggled in close games, including the September loss to Alabama.
  • Key Player: WR Luther Burden III, a big-play threat who can stretch Alabama’s secondary.

Alabama Crimson Tide

  • Strengths: Big-game experience, clutch playmakers, and a proven ability to beat Georgia.
  • Weaknesses: Inconsistent offensive line play, occasionally shaky secondary.
  • Key Player: QB Ty Simpson, who engineered the 24–21 win in Athens earlier this season.

📊 Georgia Bulldogs (11–1, No. 3)

  • Points per game: 32.2
  • Points allowed per game: 16.7
  • Total offense: 4,993 yards (5.8 yards/play)
  • Passing: Gunner Stockton – 2,535 yards, 20 TD, 5 INT, 70.2% completion
  • Rushing: Nate Frazier – 809 yards, 6 TD, 4.6 yards/carry
  • Receiving: Zachariah Branch – 691 yards, 6 TD
  • Defense leaders:
    • LB C.J. Allen – 80 tackles
    • DB Ellis Robinson IV – 4 interceptions

📊 Alabama Crimson Tide (10–2, No. 10)

  • Points per game: 33.2
  • Points allowed per game: 16.5
  • Total offense: 4,853 yards (5.8 yards/play)
  • Passing: Ty Simpson – 3,056 yards, 25 TD, 4 INT, 65.8% completion
  • Rushing: Jam Miller – 493 yards, 3 TD
  • Receiving: Germie Bernard – 700 yards, 5 TD
  • Defense leaders:
    • LB Justin Jefferson – 63 tackles
    • DB Bray Hubbard – 4 interceptions

Sources:

🏁 Takeaway

  • Georgia has the stronger ground game and a stingier defense against the run.
  • Alabama boasts the more explosive passing attack with Ty Simpson and Germie Bernard.
  • Both defenses are elite, allowing fewer than 17 points per game.

📈 Prediction Outlook

  • This is really an interesting handicap.   I know that Alabama has owned this matchup winning 9 of the last 10 of these straight up, but this time, I think that Georgia is the team that comes out ahead.
  • What is interesting to me is that both teams are very close in stats.  Both teams about +1 net yards per play, both teams are 27th and 28th in offensive EPA.   Alabama has the advantage on defensive EPA ranking 16th to Georgia at 33rd, yet Georgia allows less explosive plays ranking 16th to Alabama ranking 61st.
  • This Alabama team has a path to victory though the air as that is Georgia’s weakness on defense ranking 62nd in opponent pass EPA, yet Georgia has a path to victory with Gunner Stockton’s legs and the running game as Alabama ranks 55th defensive rushing success rate.
  • Alabama just cannot run the ball well ranking 75th in success rate.   Maybe the passing will make up for that, but Georgia will certainly be ready.   The Crimson Tide has been fortunate ranking 13th in recovering fumbles while Georgia ranks 107th.   Does that even out some this game?
  • I think that Alabama has been getting by with a lot of luck on their side.  They should have lost to Missouri, South Carolina and last week needed a roughing the passer call to seal it against Auburn.  I will take Georgia ML.

Georgia ML -130 – 2 stars

Duke vs Virginia -3.5 O/U 57.5

  • This game is a much bigger team than it should be.   If Duke wins this thing, the ACC might not even have a representative in the college football playoffs.   Part of me wants this too happen, but another part of me likes money.
  • This Virginia team has already wiped the floor with Duke just a few weeks ago winning by 17 points.   This Virginia defense really has improved now ranking 20th in success rate, and 22nd in EPA.   Duke’s defense ranks 120th in EPA and 98th in success rate.
  • At just .07 net yards per play, this Blue Devils team is maybe the worst representative in a conference championship game that we have seen in years.   They have no top 25 wins, and has gotten quite lucky to avoid some of the better teams in the ACC.
  • I find it quite sad that Miami isn’t representing the ACC in this situation, but in saying that, Virginia is the second best team right now in the ACC.   I am going to fire on the Cavaliers here as I have them favored by 6.5 points.

Virginia -3.5 – 2 stars.

UNLV Rebels

UNLV Rebels

  • QB Anthony Colandrea: 238/349, 3,050 yards, 22 TD, 8 INT
  • RB Jai’Den Thomas: 127 carries, 944 yards, 12 TD
  • WR Jaden Bradley: 51 receptions, 834 yards, 4 TD

Boise State Broncos

  • RB Dylan Riley: 164 carries, 1,016 yards, 10 TD
  • WR Latrell Caples: 43 receptions, 515 yards, 3 TD
  • LB Ty Benefield: 88 tackles
  • DE Tunmise Adeleye: 6 sacks

Sources:

🏟️ Game Outlook

  • Boise State Strength: Elite pass defense (167.1 yds allowed/game, top 15 nationally).
  • UNLV Strength: High-powered offense (37.2 PPG, 463.3 YPG).
  • Betting Line: Boise State favored by 4.5; Over/Under 58.5.
  • Implied Score: Broncos 32, Rebels 27.

Prediction:

  • This is a game that we have seen a few times in the past few years, yet Boise State still gets the nod for home field as well as laying some pretty big points.
  • Broncos quarterback Maddux Madsen will be back starting after being out for about a month.  Backup Quarterback Max Cutforth was doing a fine job to get Boise State back in this position.
  • I honestly think that this Boise State team isn’t quite as good as they were in years past.
  • Last week, the Broncos should have lost to Utah State as the Aggies completely choked the lead and the game away in the fourth quarter against the Aggies.
  • Maybe Maddux Madsen is back to his winning ways, but it sure didn’t show well for this team when they could only score seven points earlier this season against UCF and Notre Dame.
  • UNLV has improved since losing to Boise State by double digits.  The defense started to figure it out only allowing 26 to a solid Utah State team as well as only 10 points to Hawaii.
  • Believe it or not, the Rebels have an offense ranking 11th in EPA to Boise State who ranks 53rd.   Boise has the better defense, but they seem to lack against the run only ranking 121st in defensive rush EPA.  That is where the Rebs can do some damage ranking 8th in rush EPA.  The Rebels also have a net yard per play advantage of .66 to .47 for the Broncos.  I think I see a close game here with Boise probably winning by 2 or three points.
  • This is a double revenge spot for the Rebels from this year’s game and last year’s championship.  Take the road dog.

UNLV +4.5 – 2 stars
