Prediction:
- Alabama hasn’t been looking like they were last year at this time, yet it is due to some injuries that they have sustained.
- The Vols also do not look the same as they already have six losses this year. Five of those losses were away from home.
- Since Tennessee’s big win against Houston, This team has s some rough losses to Kentucky, Arkansas and Syracuse. As a matter of fact, away from home, the Vols rank 344th on Haslametrics. They shoot only 49.5 effective FG% away from Knoxville.
- One thing that has been consistent for the Vols besides their away from home woes is that whenever they play a fast paced team, the tend to struggle. It takes them away from their game. You saw this against Kentucky, Florida and Arkansas.
- Tennessee is a rough 6-12 ATS this year.
- Alabama is getting possibly two guys back from injury in Boi Bowen and Latrell Wrightsell.
- I am gonna lay the points with Bama here.
Alabama -5.5 – 2 stars
Nebraska vs Minnesota +5.5 O/U 139.5
- This is an interesting game as Nebraska has been on an absolute tear as of late.
- This handicap is really more about two things. First, Minnesota is much better at home than they are on the road keeping it close with USC and Wisconsin. Oh, they also beat number 20 Iowa at home as well.
- The second thing is that Nebraska lost their 6th man Braden Frager for a while due to a rolled ankle against Washington. He played 56% of the minutes and was a very solid contributor. I do not think that the line will reflect this needed depth piece. The Big 10 hasn’t been great on the road. Much better at home this year.
- Take the Home Dog again.
Minnesota +5.5 – 2 stars
